They call it Tender Love!

As a child many of us were disciplined differently.(i.e. no TV, no outside, woopings, etc). Being wooped with an extension cord is that considered physical abuse? Well as a child I thought it was the norm. As I got older, I realized it was abuse. I remember I was afraid to change clothes during gym or wear shorts/tank tops in the summer due to the skin on my body being torn. There are many forms of abuse, physical, mental, sexual, etc. Do you remember of any abuse? if so, what age were you when you experienced it?

A smile says a lot but is it always what it looks. The kid(ME)looks happy in this pic but is he really. I say don't let a smile fool you.

  1. It is when someone takes advantage (whether it is extreme or not) of another person either physically, verbally or emotionally. Just my opinion.

  2. Some abuse is suttle to the point that the person that is being abuse or taken advantage of does not see it at the time.

  3. Abuse is spiteful, selfish, hateful, degrading, mind control, the opposite of agape love that Christ has shown us and continues to show us daily. Those who abuse will be avenged by God in His own time. They never get away.

  4. I think that sometimes verbal abuse can be overlooked but can have the same scars as physical abuse. It can make you have self esteem issues and trust issues and so forth and so on. Abuse in itself I think means that someone has issues and takes it out on you. Let's heal people.
